Introducing the Summit Gear Canyonita canyon pack, the smaller sibling to our super popular Canyon rucksack. The Canyonita utilises the same famous mesh sides that offer unparalleled water drainage. Its smaller capacity should appeal to Canyoners who prefer to travel fast and light, those that eschew wetsuits, or those who make their mates carry all the ropes!
The goals of a canyoning pack are to provide carrying comfort, dry bag protection, space to carry out wet gear after the canyon, and the ability to flush any water that it takes on. We have solved the issue by installing mesh sides within the side panels to acheive the most rapid water exit ever achieved with a canyoning pack. This has been achieved without any loss of the legendary Summit Gear durability. We are justifiably proud of this design.

Optional Framesheet: Our Canyon series packs have a closed cell foam back pad. This pad is quite comfortable, and a flexible pack can be very comfortable when moving through the canyons. We offer an optional framesheet, which utilises an HDPE back panel with 6061-T6 Alloy bar. This framesheet can be custom moulded to the user's back. It is very comfortable when carrying heavier loads as it adds to stability and hiploading. It can be inserted and removed from the Canyon packs at any time, so you may wish to purchase the framesheet and use it for the big days, then remove it for a lighter, more flexible pack at other times.
PLEASE NOTE: OUR PACKS ARE HAND MADE IN OUR STORE. OFTEN WE HAVE TO MAKE THEM TO ORDER. THIS CAN RESULT IN A DELAY OF SEVERAL WEEKS BEFORE WE CAN SEND YOUR ORDER OUT. PLEASE CONTACT US PRIOR TO ORDERING AND WE WILL GIVE YOU A BUILD TIME ESTIMATE.
Summit Gear products are all manufactured in our Katoomba factory by a small team of dedicated professional machinists. We don't run production lines - one machinist has built this item from beginning to end.
Quality assurance is carried out by the machinist and two other staff before being shipped to you.
Our warranty covers manufacturing of the product (stitching, design and finish) but does not cover the materials used.
We don't expect that you will ever experience a seam failure through normal use, but we can repair that.
Whilst we use the best fittings and zippers we can find, these may fail at some point, but are generally easy to repair.
Fabric will wear out through use. Given the quality of fabrics that we use, once the fabric has worn out we reckon that you are probably ready for a new bag!
We don't expect that your pack will fail your expectations of durability, but if it does we want to hear from you. Send us an email at : firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on (02) 4782 3018
